Works by leading Japanese contemporary sculptor Shinya Nakamura born 1926 of figurative art zodiac bronze animals okimono with original timber signed boxes made in 2007 at the age of 81 these were his last works before retirement. Shinya Nakamura went to Europe twice in the 1960s to study under famous Spanish sculptor Apelles Fenosa (born 1899-1988) based on contemporary realism. The museum Nakamura is located in Kagoshima on Japan's Kyushu island where his large works have been on display since 2013.
